“We did a screen test and so, they brought in cameras, and then there were four Jims and four Pams, and we got mix-and-matched. Every time I was matched with John, it was so easy and it just was so natural. On the second day, of auditions he leaned over to me and he said, ‘You’re my favorite Pam.’ And I said, ‘You’re my favorite Jim! Oh my gosh! On March 18th, 2013, the trial of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell began in Philadelphia. According to the Grand Jury report, Kermit Gosnell, who has been charged with eight counts of murder, allegedly severed the spinal cords of 28 and 30 weeks old fetuses in his office where investigators later found dirty surgical instruments and blood on the floor.

Gosnell’s trial went seemingly unnoticed by news media until March 27th, when the Washington Post analyzed why the case of a doctor charged with eight counts of murder never reached the front page of daily news papers. The lack of coverage was further emphasized by a special feature on Anderson Cooper 360 on April 12th and since then, news commentaries about the lack of public attention regarding the trial have eclipsed that of the trial itself: out of eight stories that have been published about Kermit Gosnell, only one article actually provided the latest details from the trial, according to The Atlantic.
